There are certain childhood experiences that stay with you forever—ones that shape who you are and bring back the best memories. For me, Twisters Gymnastics is one of those places. I grew up taking classes at Twisters when I was little, and it was such a full-circle moment bringing Nolan to his first class at the very same gym - insert happy tears. Not only did I train there as a child, but I also worked at Twisters for two summers in college, and I can confidently say there’s something special about a gym that has been around this long, producing incredible athletes and an even stronger community.
With all the accolades and top-tier gymnasts that have come out of Twisters, it’s no surprise that they remain one of the best gyms in the area. But what truly matters to me is the level of care and instruction they provide, which is why I wouldn’t send Nolan anywhere else. We recently attended the Kangaroo Class at the Boca Raton location, and let’s just say Nolan is still talking about it. He absolutely loved Coach Aaron and had so much fun jumping, climbing, and exploring the gym in a structured, engaging way.
One of the things that truly sets Twisters apart is the coaches. They’re not just instructors but mentors, motivators, and role models who bring out the best in every child. Their passion for gymnastics and dedication to each child’s development is unmatched. They genuinely invest time in understanding each gymnast, offering personalized encouragement and instruction to help them build confidence and skills at their own pace. As an athlete who needed that kind of support, I can’t emphasize enough how invaluable it is.
The energy and enthusiasm they bring to every class create a supportive and uplifting environment, ensuring that kids not only learn gymnastics but also develop a lifelong love for movement and fitness. Whether it's a toddler experiencing their first class or a competitive gymnast striving for excellence, Twisters' coaches make every student feel valued and capable of achieving their goals.
If you’re thinking about getting your little one involved in a ‘Mommy and Me’ style class, I can’t recommend the Kangaroo Class enough. Designed for walkers up to 3 years old, this class introduces toddlers to physical fitness in a way that enhances their fine and gross motor skills, body awareness, and social development. It’s the perfect mix of movement and play, all while building coordination and confidence.
Watching Nolan’s face light up as he bounced on the trampoline and climbed the pirate ship made my heart so happy. He was engaged, learning new skills, and having an absolute blast. As a mom, there’s nothing better than knowing your child is in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment—especially at a place that holds so much meaning for me.
Beyond the Kangaroo Class, Twisters offers a variety of gymnastics programs for kids of all ages and skill levels and we will definitely be moving up to these classes when the time comes.
Tadpoles (2 ½ - 3 ½ years old): Ideal for toddlers ready to take their first independent steps into the gym, this class focuses on coordination, climbing, and social interaction without parental assistance.
Cubs (3 ½ - 4 ½ years old): A fun and engaging class that introduces basic tumbling skills through obstacle courses and gymnastics stations.
Tigers (4 ½ - 5 ½ years old): A co-ed class that incorporates games, obstacle courses, and developmental gymnastics skills, setting the foundation for future athletes.
Grade School Gymnastics (Girls & Boys): A safe, structured environment for older kids to build strength, coordination, and confidence in their gymnastics journey.
Competitive Team: Twisters is home to some of the best gymnasts in the country, with State, Regional, and National champions training in their elite program.
Private Lessons: Personalized, one-on-one training sessions are available for all skill levels.
