Paraiso Miami Beach's Virtual Swim Week | LLScene Recap

Well, Paraisos Miami Beach's Swim Week was a little different this year, if you can imagine. Let us start off by saying that aside from Halloween, this is one of our favorite weekends of the year at LLScene, so the change in environment was disappointing, to say the least. That being said, Paraiso Miami Beach did an amazing job showcasing the hottest new swimwear and designers by giving the swimwear industry a much-needed platform for sales and international collaborations.

Even though we weren’t able to make it there physically, we had front row seats to all of our favorite shows “virtually,” which brings us to this 2020 Virtual Recap of Paraiso’s Swim Week.

With the full support of the City of Miami Beach, Paraiso Miami Beach put together a number of in-person fashion shows and presentations that are were produced and live-streamed following the strict CDC guidelines on social distancing and other methods preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Beach Bunny Swimwear Show

Beach Bunny always puts on one of our favorite shows of the year and comes out with swimwear and accessories we wear throughout the season, #FloridaGirlProblems. Known for its ultra-feminine unique bikini styles and resort wear, Beach Bunny never disappoints when it comes to getting ahead of the trends. Their intention is to design for the summer obsessed, swimwear lovers (like us) that always want to feel confident in bikinis. Beach Bunny produces one of a kind bikinis with luxurious custom-hardware with all women and all body types in mind. Because of the ways of the world, Beach Bunny recently expanded into apparel, lounge, and activewear. Some of our favorites include...

Agua Bendita Fashion Show

The night ended with the Agua Bendita Fashion Show at the SLS in South Beach. This was one of our favorite shows to watch because of the number of options we would actually wear ourselves, whether it be on vacation or everyday life here in South Florida. This line was extremely relatable on many levels as it was inspired by the Mediterranian streets. You’ll notice a generous color chart with these pieces, which strikes the perfect balance amongst the entire Resort 2021 collection. It’s all about the various color pallets, textiles, minimalistic lines, and reinvention of traditional swimwear. We were totally here for this one.

Luli Fama Swimwear Show

Luli Fama is always by-far our favorite show during Paraiso’s Miami Beach Swim Week, and she didn’t disappoint even in virtual form. You’ll notice edgy designs, vibrant colors that had us doing multiple double-takes this swimwear made its way down the runway. Luli Fama’s 2021 Collection was inspired by empowered, bold and sophisticated Luli Babes, the “Diosa” collection includes an assortment of daring and show-stopping looks such as the brand’s signature styles and ultra-modern designs accentuate a women’s figure while lending a chic fashion statement to any summer wardrobe. Along with the new assortment of stunning swimwear, customers were introduced to the brand’s fashionable, comfortable, and elevated resort-wear collection. The ready to wear cover-ups and clothing are designed to complement the swimsuits while being versatile enough to be worn day or night and for any occasion. We live for this brand, especially when planning what to wear on vacations.

The designs were inspired by the jungle, nature, color, mystical animals while featuring inclusive models of all shapes, sizes, genders, and races. Some of the many inspirations behind the designs also included placement prints, contrasting light and dark hues for seasonal appeal, animal print, and femininity. Silvia Tcherassi Show

In an effort to stimulate and encourage the Miami fashion industry, Designer, Silvia Tcherassi hosted a private event at the SLS South Beach Thursday, August 20 to launch her 2021 Capsule Preview. This exclusive gathering marks the first physical presentation of the brand’s most recent Resort 2021 proposal, imbued by the idyllic seaside aesthetic and luscious greenery of Coconut Grove. After visiting Tulum last year we were immediately taken back by her style choice and inspiration. The most noteworthy styles were filled with headpiece accessories, wrap-around cover-ups, boho-resort inspiration, and a runway ambiance that spoke to all of those fashion senses.

These are just some of the many looks in swimwear that spoke to us this year. Since it’s pretty much summer all year long, get online and start shopping these looks. We already have...
