Golden Globe Awards | Fashion Predictions

It’s officially award show season, and we couldn't be more excited for all of the amazing fashion we will see tonight on the red carpet. In today’s post, we reveal our predictions for best dressed along with what we think these celebs would look best in based off the 2015 Resort Collections we saw at Fashion Week last year.

Side note: Another reason we LOVE the Golden Globes? This is the award show that has alcohol running freely all night long. Lots of booze makes for entertaining acceptance speeches and unpredictable behavior.

If Reese Witherspoon is attending an award show, she will automatically be a best dressed contender. She has the ability to wear a cutting edge, high fashion dress while remaining the all american sweetheart she is.

We’ve got a thing for upper bodies at LLScene, and Keira Knightly has the most beautiful, petite upper body we have ever seen. She tends to surprise us with her award show dresses, so we are looking forward to what she brings to the table this year. She’s also pregnant, and there’s nothing we love more than a designer baby bump done right. Crossing our fingers for something strapless and fabulous that hugs her belly.

What can we say about Jennifer Aniston that hasn’t already been said before? Contrary to popular belief, Lindsey isn’t a big fan of Jen, or any plain jane for that matter. However, we arent going to deny that fact that she is drop dead gorgeous, and can probably pull off any designer resort collection. That being said, it was a little difficult to figure out what we wanted to see her in at the Golden Globes this year. We would like to see her in something a little different, like a jumpsuit of some sort!

The Fellas

Can we talk about how adorable Eddie Redmayne is? He made his superstar debut in Les Miserables and welcomes hollywood with class and grace. This is another huge year for him being nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Film. He’s amongst some pretty serious veteran winners, but we are crossing our fingers for him! If he doesn’t win his category, there is no doubt he will be a frontrunner in our picks for best dressed male.

Jake Gyllenhaal. You can’t say his name without a long oooo and ahhh attached. Jake is timeless, he’s nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Film, and is apparently one of the nicest people in Hollywood. He rocks award shows time and time again, and takes his role as a leading male very seriously. He can do no wrong, so we are very excited to see what he has up his sleeve tonight.

There’s something about Edward Norton. We don’t know what it is, but there is something. It’s got to be his bad boy facade and sense of intrigue that he gives off. He creeps us out, but doesn’t. Are you following, or are we totally crazy? Given those personality traits and his keen sense of style, we are all about Edward Norton. It’s hard to take fashion risks as a lead male without going too far, but he does it, and he does it well.

We always include Kit Harington as one of our best dressed contenders during award season. Being huge Game of Thrones fans, we are a little biased, but you can’t deny perfection, and John Snow screams perfection.

Cutest Couples

There are so many beautiful Hollywood couples we are excited to see tonight, but the most talked about couple would have to be George & Amal Clooney, who will be making their red carpet debut as husband and wife. With George’s dapper sense of style, and Amal’s natural beauty, they just may be LLScene’s best dressed couple of the night. We shall see! He's being honored, so this is a very special night for these newlyweds.

We just started watching True Detective, so we are really pulling for Matthew Mcconaughey. We are also obsessed with his wife, Camila. She stands out and makes statements on the red carpet, while letting her hubby soak in his much deserved limelight.

John Krasinski & Emily Blunt are a couple we would love to hangout with. Their wit and charm is exemplified through their fashion choices award show after award show. They’re an all around adorable couple, so we can’t wait to see what they decide on tonight.

Talk about a hot power couple, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber always look flawless on the red carpet. We always anticipate their red carpet interviews because of the way Liev describes their relationship, and because of the sweet way he looks at her. He has been the one nominated lately, but you would never know it. He loves to give his leading lady the spotlight, which is why they are one of our choices for cutest couple.
